Tai Chi for Better Living (For Ages 13 & Over)
This session will focus on: Breathing - Qigong, Tai Chi, Meditation
An eight-week tai chi series that explores the fundamental principles and basic movements of the ancient Chinese art of tai chi. Emphasis will be placed on posture, relaxation, and the stress reduction process. Using the Simplified 24 Forms Tai Chi Routine as the base, each week the instructor will focus on a specific topic and explain how to incorporate tai chi into your overall wellness strategy. Class topics repeat every eight weeks and do not have to be taken in sequence to help build a tai chi foundation. However, to be most successful in tai chi, regular attendance and practice is highly recommended. Students that want to learn the entire 24-form sequence from start to finish should sign-up for a minimum of eight weeks, regardless of which week they start. This class is appropriate for beginners. This class involves a lot of body movement.
$10 for all first time attendees.
$5 for all high school and college students with valid Student ID.
