Possibility Thinking Practice Group

Possibility Thinking is a simple 8-step model that provides not only a toolset for daily use but also a philosophy for living peace in an intentional, mindful, and peace-giving life. When we are better able to neutrally observe our relationship transactions both intrapersonally and interpersonally prior to reacting or assuming/judging, we can implement our intention for our relationships. As we develop our mindful living and practice intentional relationships, we are more creative and productive in our contributions. In this manner, Possibility Thinking supports adults and children in living peacefully in their relationships, community, and in the world.

Each session will discuss the 8 Steps to Living Peace as expressed in the methodology of Possibility Thinking:

1. Event, situation, conversation = "The Movie"

2. Meaning placed on the event, assumed about one's self

3. Feelings based on meaning of the event

4. 6 different yet valid interpretations for the event

5. Do events have inherent meaning?

6. Without meaning do feelings exist?

7. Getting to neutral

8. End game – focus on desired outcomes from a place of neutrality and possibility
