m.a.m.a. earth Presents: The Art of Movement (For All Ages)

To all lovers of dance, movement and culture! Join Dancer Kimberly Miguel Mullen and Master Percussionist Richard Marquez for a special lecture and demonstration of AfroCuban sacred music and dance and the importance of maintaining and preserving tradition. Kimberly will share her experience of both studying and performing AfroCuban sacred dances in settings from ceremony to stage. Richard will also discuss his journey as an artist and practitioner inside the sacred AfroCuban drumming tradition. The gathering will conclude with a live music and dance performance. Portions of the event will be interactive. Come experience the power and beauty of Kimberly's ecstatic performances as she shares her infectious passion for dance and movement.
