The Ecology Center Presents: Garden Design (For All Ages)

Learn how to optimize use of your patio or garden space to grow your own fruitful garden!

Do you know the difference between an annual and perennial? What about determinate and indeterminate tomatoes? In this workshop, you will learn garden basics, and how to build and maintain biodiversity in your garden. We will focus on using garden design and plant selection techniques to create bountiful harvests and habitats that support local, beneficial bird and insect species. With information on site mapping, charting sun and shade paths, seasonal plantings, and mixing edibles with pollinator-friendly plants, you will leave equipped to get your springtime garden growing! All levels of garden skill are welcome.

By participating in this program you are supporting The Ecology Center’s Backyard Skills workshops, which encourages people to be part of the solution by teaching them the building blocks to have a sustainable culture.

Class fills quickly!  Advanced registration requested.  Drop-ins are welcome, subject to availability.
