Kelly Smith
Founder and Board Chair
Kelly Smith is a mother of two, philanthropist, and the Founder and Board Chair of the Center for Living Peace. Ms. Smith is also a member of the Orange County Community Foundation Board of Directors.
Jeffery K. Berkus
Founding Board Member
Jeffrey Berkus AIA is lead designer and president of Jeffrey Berkus Architects based in Aspen, Colorado. With over thirty years of architectural experience Mr. Berkus has a large repertoire of award winning residential, commercial, and interiors projects. Site sensitive and sustainable design principles are the focus of the firm. His most recently completed project is Doerr-Hosier Center at The Aspen Institute, a 22,000 sf meeting facility with an integral “Stone River” installation by renowned artist, Andy Goldsworthy. Mr. Berkus also serves on the Board of Trustees for The Aspen Center for Environmental Studies.
George H, McCrimlisk
Founding Board Member
George McCrimlisk heads George H. McCrimlisk & Company, a certified public accounting firm. Mr. McCrimlisk specializes in tax and investment planning for high net worth entrepreneurs. Mr. McCrimlisk is President of The Green Foundation, which supports a variety of charities primarily in Southern California. He is also on the Board of Directors of the American Cancer Society and sits on boards of numerous other charitable organizations.
Richard Reoch
Board Member
Richard Reoch’s international human rights work includes senior management of the international public information program of Amnesty International, international consultations involving organizations working on peace and justice issues in Ireland (north and south), and acting as an advisor to the Indo-British Project on the Prevention of Torture. In the 1980s, he was asked by Sting to help organize the Rainforest Foundation, and is one of its longest-serving trustees. Currently, he chairs the International Working Group on Sri Lanka, a consortium of senior diplomats and officials of major agencies supporting the peace negotiations in Sri Lanka.Mr. Reoch is the President of the Shambhala Mandala -- a global network of meditation centers.
Gina Guarascio Murdock
Board Member
Gina Guarascio Murdock is passionate about promoting peace in the world. As a yoga teacher, massage therapist, and former reporter and writer, Gina endeavors to bring a quality of peace and compassion into all that she does and to relate to peace and love, not as an abstract concept, but a catalyst for action. Gina's motto is "inner peace to global action" and she hopes to inspire positive change around the world and close to home. Gina grew up in Southern California, but has lived in Colorado for 16 years and is working to bring the concept of the Center for Living Peace to her hometown of Aspen, Colorado.
